This historical building in the New Orleans French Quarter, originally built in the early 1800's as a theater, was razed and rebuilt in 1861 as a school house, the St. Philip School. In 1931, this building was deemed obsolete and was re-built. It opened in 1932 as McDonogh No. 15 school and by 2018 became Homer A Plessy Community School. This project included replacement of all existing windows and exterior doors and new lintels at window heads, new roof, exterior skin repairs to existing stucco, air cooled chiller replacement and associated electrical work.
