CDW Services was the low bidder for a renovation of the 22,500 sqft historic McDonogh 30 school into condominiums. The structure was completely gutted and had been damaged by water and termite rot. Built in the 1800’s, the school included historic custom windows and millwork throughout, which CDW replicated. The project consisted of a new HVAC, plumbing, electrical, flooring, framing, roof, elevator, and parking lot. The renovated structure holds 14 condominiums, a gym, a coffee shop, and other commercial outlets. Challenges included trying to VE the project for the owners to get them closer to their budget. CDW was able to find and incorporate VE options for the owner. This project was funded with state and federal historic tax credits
